Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 12:00 AM - 1:00 AM

Jack throttles a Justice Department flunky. Understandable, but it's hard to see how this will improve things for Walker.
I think it's been pretty well established that I can't draw Keifer. But I had to try, because of this great moment where he completely fails to suppress a smirk when Hastings says, "I have complete confidence in Agent Owen."
In the season's most improbable twist, the audience for "24" decides they actually like Freddie Prinze, Jr., because he finally killed off the ridiculous My Secret Redneck Past subplot.

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 11:00 PM - 12:00 AM

See, Walker? It's just as easy to kill Eastern European arms dealers with one stab as with fifty-six.
Badguyovitch laments the harsh lot of a Russian mobster: oh, boo hoo, I shot my own son and all my glassware for nothing.

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM

I enjoyed Arlo's bit of understatement when he pulled up this improbably sharp image from a traffic camera: "Jack seems to be in control."
Wow, even stabbed in the gut Jack can still serve up the death. As someone in the liveblog said, sticking a knife in Jack Bauer doesn't kill him, it just gives him another weapon. Once I'd drawn this guy, I thought he looked oddly familiar. Then I realized: he looked like he could be saying, "NECKSTAB, MAH BOIIIII!"
Walker tries to decide what the worst part of the day has been, now that she has to include for consideration "going into berserker rage, stabbing good guys and bad guys indiscriminately."

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM

So Prez Hassan's Chief Skull-Cracker has his limits when it comes to rounding up dissidents. Hassan, however, plays the "almost-blown-up-today" card yet again -- dude, that was like more than an hour ago. Get over it already.

Jack meets up with the Russians in hilarious giant clunky spectacles, which I assume contain a camera, a microphone, and various other spy gadgets. I guess he's hoping the Russians haven't seen True Lies yet. Some would accuse the show of going for a cheap obvious laugh here, but usually the humor in 24 is entirely unintentional.
Agent Freddie Prinze Jr. is up on the roof, shooting Russians in beautiful Night-Vision-o-Vision.

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

So, last week -- um, I mean, "a few minutes ago," Walker sawed off this dude's thumb, which somehow did not convince Jack to back down on the whole "you're still too wrecked to be in the field" angle. Now, Jack, let's be fair -- is this really worse than the time you sawed off a dude's whole head?
You know, I think TWOP is right -- Prez Hassan's giant pompadour is getting bigger every hour.
