Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM

Oh for the love of . . . between Jack's cunning disguise and this, The Worst Mascot Costume Ever, "24" is really bringing the unintentional humor. It's supposed to be a tense, dramatic moment, and here I am laughing, because Jack, FPJ, and the redshirts have formed a box with feet. It's nearly impossible for a lumbering box with feet not to be funny.
I sort of thought this was coming, when Chloe called Walker, who told her to "do what you have to do" to convince the NSA gang to do things her way. You recall Walker's methods of persuasion from earlier in the day? Not finding any angle grinders handy, Chloe pulls out a gun instead.
Toodles, Agent Owen. We knew you were dead as soon as Freddie Prinze Jr. had to help you buckle something on your uniform, hours ago.

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 3:00 AM - 4:00 AM

Bah. So it looks like I'm as bad at drawing Katee Sackhoff as I am at Keifer. Don't know why I bothered trying to draw her from a paused frame of "24," since obsessed nerds have probably posted eleventy billion pictures of her online thanks to BSG.
Mrs. Hassan turns into snarling dragon lady this hour. I guess having two-thirds of one's immediate family involved in assassination/kidnapping/nuclear conspiracy might do that to one.
I suppose it wouldn't be a CTU attack without some clueless redshirt trying to be a hero. "I can move the car, there's still two seconds left before the bomb goes off! Let's see, turn the key here, put it in reverse, check the mirrors, make sure my seat bel--"
The ending of the episode was pretty good, with all the pandemonium at CTU. Here's Chloe, still at her post after the lights go out, in the last few seconds of the hour.

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 2:00 AM - 3:00 AM

AAAARRRGGGHH NO WHY IS THIS HAPPENING the idiotic My Secret Redneck Past subplot isn't dead after all! Curse you, 24, you've made me upset at an appearance by Stephen Root, Milton himself, the great Jimmy James!
I enjoyed this scene with Marco's mom. The actress looked really familiar, but I don't know what exactly I remember her from. Maybe it was Turner & Hooch?

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM

They were making it such a point that Agent Owen was nervous, had no experience, looked twelve years old, etc., that I was sure he was about to get killed. But he's now survived multiple episodes.
Bleh. What a lousy episode. Here's a picture of the Flava Flav cell phone commercial, because there was nothing else to draw.

Hastily-Painted Acrylic Sketches from TV: "24" Edition: 12:00 AM - 1:00 AM

Jack throttles a Justice Department flunky. Understandable, but it's hard to see how this will improve things for Walker.
I think it's been pretty well established that I can't draw Keifer. But I had to try, because of this great moment where he completely fails to suppress a smirk when Hastings says, "I have complete confidence in Agent Owen."
In the season's most improbable twist, the audience for "24" decides they actually like Freddie Prinze, Jr., because he finally killed off the ridiculous My Secret Redneck Past subplot.
